Tours Description

The panoramic mountain is just a short 20minute train ride away from Lucerne. Alternatively and at a more leisurely pace the combination cruise/rail takes you first on a local boat (depending on the timetable this can be even a paddle steamer) to Hergiswil from where a rail transfer connects to Stans. From the railway station in Stans it’s only an easy 5minute walk.
For the first section you take a vintage railway dating from 1893 (celebrating 125 years) and then – an extreme contrast – the world’s first open top cable car “CabriO”. The open upper deck and large glass front are truly breathtaking and spectacular. Up on the summit you can do the circular hiking trail (approx. 30 min). The ‘Stanserhorn Rangers’ will explain everything about the mountain and know many a story to tell.
The revolving restaurant offers a range of local specialities for a full meal or a simple snack together with spectacular views towards the Alps.
