Chocolate Train

Spend a delightful day travelling in either the vintage 1915 Belle Époque carriages or the modern panoramic carriages with the Swiss Chocolate Train, from Montreux to Gruyère and Broc (including shuttle bus from Montbovon to Gruyère and Broc). The chocolate train gives you the chance to sample two of Switzerland’s most famous specialities – chocolate and cheese. Leaving Montreux, coffee and croissants are served as you pass through the vineyards along Lake Geneva. In Gruyères you will visit the cheese dairy producing the famous Gruyère cheese – La Maison du Gruyère. You see the traditional cheese-making and have the opportunity to sample the different cheese varieties. A shuttle bus brings you to the Gruyères and you have time to explore the picturesque village or the castle. (Entry to the castle extra – free for holders of a Swiss Travel Pass). Continue to Broc for a visit to the Maison Cailler. Learn about the production process on a tour of the factory and sample mouth-watering Swiss chocolate, before travelling back to Montreux.
